Puyol Picked up Spain into the Final

2010 FIFA World cup Southafrica - Spain’s Victory is Germany’s pain — again

Spain Beat Germany 0:1 and Confirm their Final. Carles Puyol scored the game’s only goal in the 73rd minute, while he was left unharmed by the German defence and headed in a Xavi corner kick past German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

Spain dominated control in the match at Moses Mabhida Stadium, in South Africa's coastal city of Durban. Spanish midfielders restricted the action from the starting whistle with quick and precise passes. But they had difficulty in finishing, until central attacker Carles Puyol broke a scoreless deadlock in the 73rd minute. Puyol, who plays for Barcelona, leaped high to head in a goal from Xavi 's corner kick.
